SPONSORED ADOPT-A-STREET GUIDELINES
INTRODUCTION
Across the nation civic organizations and businesses are “adopting” sections of highways, roads, streets, and center medians. These “adoptions” include litter removal and weed abatement.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- KRCB will partner with a community group to do cleanup/ maintenance
- Cleanup/ maintenance will be done bi-monthly over a one-year period
- Additional cleanups may be completed, depending on the need of the street
- Both sides of the street are to be adopted
- Each organization will receive two recognition signs
LITTER, WEED AND MISCELLANEOUS DEBRIS REMOVAL

The designated community group will pick up litter, sweep sidewalks, and pull weeds
GRAFFITI REMOVAL

It is your responsibility to report graffiti in your adopted area to the Riverside Call Center at 951.826.5311
- Just dial 311 from any (951) area code to be connected
RECOGNITION SIGNS

The adopting agency’s name will be noted on two recognition signs
- The signs measure 24” x 30” and will be mounted on existing poles at either end of the adopted street
- In the event of a business partnership with an organization, only the business names will appear on the sign
APPLICATION

An application to participate must be completed and submitted to KRCB at least two weeks prior to the organizations first scheduled cleanup
CANCELLATION

Either party may cancel at the renewal period
SPONSORSHIP

A $500.00 annual fee is due to KRCB before signs can be placed and cleanups begin
- The term of the fee is one year
- Renewal invoices will be sent at the beginning of the fiscal year, beginning July 1
